21St Century Social Entrepeneurship - "Boxless"

Wiser Strategy is a Philadelphia-based firm with roots in both community organizing and large-scale initiatives. Our "gritty city" beginnings enable us to examine and confront societal challenges creatively. We asked ourselves, "Why should large companies and entities be the only ones privy to techniques that drive efficiency and effective outreach?" Our "boxless" approach is defined by our ability to understand the parameters of regulations and bring the force of imagination and a multi-disciplinary approach to redefine what is possible and who designs our futures—locally and nationally.

About Emma Tramble
- President & Chief Strategist

Emma Tramble, a West Philadelphia native, has more than 15 years of experience implementing solutions that produce measurable and seamless client/voter interactions in grassroots, nonprofit, for-profit, and electoral arenas. Emma has helped activists determine operational bottlenecks and service gaps, weave data-driven strategies throughout their work and build strong coalitions between different cultural communities and organizations. Emma also specializes in combining VAN (voter file) models and other data with language framing to create messaging that moves intended audiences to action.

Before returning to full-time consulting in 2015, Emma served as the data and targeting manager for Pennsylvania Voice, a State Voices affiliate. At Pennsylvania Voice, Emma advised and trained grassroots organizations and large, well-established national progressive organizations during Integrated Voter Engagement (IVE) and issue advocacy campaigns. Emma’s extensive career includes being a paid staffer or community organizer on projects that focused on anti-fracking, Medicaid expansion, criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, homelessness advocacy, and anti-voter ID.

Emma founded an all-volunteer labor of love, My Family Votes, to provide black voters with information to strengthen their individual and family’s impact at the polls and beyond.
